I am grateful for...

3.30pm -> 6.00pm

Today I am grateful for the 2 and half hours of pure bliss that occurred between 3.30pm and 6.00pm on Saturday afternoon. In these few hours we had no friends over, no family calling, no texting, no computers, no worries. Rob and I sat on our couch and had a hot chocolate and a gluten free macadamia nut and white chocolate cookie talking, laughing, watching ice age 3 and eventually falling asleep in each others arms.

In our crazy world of long hours at totally clashing times during the week we are like ships passing through the night. On the weekends we have been so busy playing and working. I love the fun weekends we have been having. The special moments and memories we are making with our friends and the fun adventures we have been having together. However the time between 3.30pm and 6.00pm made me just as happy, if not more, than all of this fun put together.

Those special moments of just stopping and appreciating each other and forgetting the world and just being us!

 ~ We then got to witness the most beautiful sunset~
~ A beautiful ending to a beautiful 2.5 hours ;) ~

That's gorgeous. These stolen moments are so precious. Many years ago we decided to ignore the phone, say no to invitations and enjoy as many of these moments as we could because THAT is what makes us happiest.

Thanks for linking up today. Happy day to you. x

Often I take the initiative to get that quiet time. I switch off our phone for hours when the family is about to or is doing something really special. No distractions. Happy weekend!

Precious! It is so true that time together just in eachothers company is so few and far between these days...
